About Us
Building Compassion is a faith-driven nonprofit that brings volunteers, skilled professionals, donors, and community partners together to improve inadequate housing for people who have dedicated their lives to serving others. Through home repairs, renovations, disaster response, and community projects, we relieve practical burdens, restore dignity, and help recipients continue their work. Each project also gives youth and young adults opportunities to learn construction skills, gain hands-on experience, build confidence, and discover the impact of serving others. By rebuilding homes, strengthening communities, and inspiring compassion, we work to renew dreams, rebuild lives, and restore hope.

Building Compassion is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit. It’s not just a play on words. We do the physical construction, but we’re building up people’s lives. We’re building unity in communities as we join together for a single purpose. We’re building compassion in the lives of the volunteers that will affect the coming generations. With people like you, we can empower youth, young adults & whole communities to build, apply and live a life of compassion.
Building compassion provides the opportunity to work alongside contractors & skilled laborers & receive vocational training. As a volunteer of Building Compassion, individuals are rewarded with valuable practical skills, hands-on experience, self-confidence, and the knowledge that they can make a difference in the lives of others.
