A Fresh Look, a New Chapter: Building Compassion’s Website Relaunch

A fresh face for a familiar mission.

Change is in the air at Building Compassion, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you.

We've just rolled out a full overhaul of our website, giving it a fresh new look and an updated picture of the services we offer. Whether you're a longtime supporter or discovering us for the first time, we wanted our online home to reflect who we are today: a community of volunteers, partners, and donors coming together to renew dreams, rebuild lives, and restore hope for the community servants who give so much of themselves to others.

New Leadership, Same Heart

This relaunch comes alongside another big milestone. We're proud to welcome Kelsey Elmore as our new Executive Director, leading the organization into its next chapter. Kelsey is joined by board members Frank Frankovsky, JB Stevenson, and Chandler Rose, who bring fresh energy and perspective to our mission.

While our leadership is new, our heart hasn't changed one bit. We're still the same organization that has spent years standing alongside families like the Haikers, the Basses, and the Nelsons, showing up with hammers, paint, and a whole lot of compassion. And most recently, that meant showing up in Western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene and in Katy after widespread flooding, working alongside local volunteers to help families rebuild what the storms had taken.

What’s Ahead

This rebrand is about more than a new color scheme. It's a chance for us to tell our story more clearly, make it easier for volunteers to find ways to get involved, and give donors a simpler path to supporting the work. As we look toward the future, we're leaning into new and exciting opportunities to grow our impact, whether that's through more home renovations, more disaster response, or new partnerships with churches, schools, and businesses ready to put compassion into action.
