Building Compassion serves community service leaders and others who have dedicated their lives to serving people, with the goal of relieving practical housing burdens so they can continue their work more effectively. This may include ministers, missionaries, retired or medically incapacitated leaders, and others facing circumstances that prevent them from addressing critical home repairs on their own.
Projects are completed on the recipient’s primary residence, which they must own with no plans to sell. Recipients typically have a demonstrated need and limited ability to complete the work themselves or receive assistance from another source. In some cases, Building Compassion also partners with churches or community organizations that provide volunteers and help raise project funds while Building Compassion provides project oversight.
